The FACET Foundation

A BRIGHTER FUTURE

Inspired by nature’s bounty, the House of Graff presents an exquisite bouquet of the finest gems. Across southern Africa, we see the devastating impact of poor health and a lack of basic education on the life chances of disadvantaged children and young people. Through FACET, we work with local partners to develop programmes to improve standards of health, education and wellbeing. In doing so, we aim to make a fundamental difference to communities in South Africa.

“Giving back is all about bringing hope and helping people realise their ambitions and dreams.”

-LAURENCE GRAFF

PARTNER CHARITY: HELP LESOTHO

Lesotho

Located in the town of Leribe, the Graff Leadership Centre is run by Help Lesotho, who target community priorities such as education, psychosocial support and leadership training. HIV/AIDS and gender equity education is embedded in all programmes and approaches. Working at the grassroots level, it aims to create an AIDS-free generation, end the cycle of poverty and develop the future community leaders of Lesotho.

PARTNER CHARITY: STEPPING STONES

Botswana

FACET funds a Graff Leadership Centre in Mochudi, run by Stepping Stones International, teaching 12–25-year olds diverse life skills to ensure they make the most of career opportunities presented to them, as well as providing counselling and welfare support.

PARTNER CHARITY: THE PEBBLES PROJECT

South Africa

Working with the Pebbles Project Trust, FACET helps bring first-world technology to the children of economically disadvantaged farming communities in the Western Cape, developing maths, literacy and computer skills via a mobile library and computer suite, and a programme of after-school clubs, outings and activities.

FOR AFRICA’S CHILDREN EVERY TIME

The Graff Book

All proceeds from the sale of our coffee-table book GRAFF are donated to FACET. The story of our House is told through visually arresting imagery, insightful essays and personal reflections.
